The new millennium is considered as the solar age. Now that the cost of solar energy is dropping and new technologies such as thin film photovoltaic are emerging, solar energy has become a leader in the energy industry. Due to high electricity process and environmental concerns such as global warming, more and more people are turning to solar power to save money and address environmental issues. Unless a household does not get direct sunlight on the roof, solar panels can absorb sunlight and provide solar power. The solar panels are installed at a 14-degree angle, an angle that works almost anywhere which just means that solar power is viable around the world. There are also some large solar panels available which Just Energy used to power educational institutions, large organizations, municipalities, industries, storage facilities and the like.
Just Energy provides net metering to their consumers. This is a way for them to save money on their electric bill by supplying electric energy back to the grid using photovoltaic solar energy technology. The “Net Meter” is a program which allows consumers to put power back on the grid using alternative generation method. This means that the solar energy produced will go back on the consumer’s bill in the form of credit or cash. The net meter program is a set of guidelines which requires energy companies to credit the consumers back for the electric energy they put back in the grid. Net metering is available in 44 states and D.C. The system size limits also vary by state.
